Let It Speak does not simply reproduce what a search engine, an encyclopedia or an existing historical marker already says. It preserves human perspective — the part of a place that only a person can give it.
The examples alongside are illustrative, not actual testimonials.
A plaque might tell someone that a factory opened in 1910.

The best time to preserve a story is while someone can still tell it.
Every community contains knowledge that exists nowhere online. It lives with residents, elders, veterans, artists, workers, immigrants, families, teachers and community leaders. When those voices are gone, parts of a community's history can quietly go with them.
